Heather and Tyler's proposal at Southall Farm & Inn was such a fun one to photograph, mostly because Heather genuinely had no idea it was coming.
Tyler planned the whole thing and somehow managed to keep the secret. Heather's reaction was absolutely perfect, complete surprise, lots of excitement, and definitely a few happy tears.
After the proposal, we walked around Southall and took some newly engaged photos together. It was nice to let the nerves wear off and just enjoy the moment with them. The whole session felt really natural and relaxed, and you could tell they were both just excited to finally be able to celebrate together.
I love photographing proposals for exactly this reason. You get the surprise, the emotion, and then you get to hang out with the couple afterward and capture that first little bit of being engaged.
Southall Farm & Inn made a beautiful backdrop, but honestly, Heather and Tyler's reactions were the best part.
